Hi Everyone,
Following on from this #SafeStreetsSaveLives consultation, Salford City Council has now launched the Emergency Active Travel (EAT) consultation page. The link for the webpage can be found below:
https://salfordemergencyactivetravel.commonplace.is/
The Emergency Active Travel (EAT) measures are part of the council's response to the Covid-19 pandemic, with the aim of making Salford easier to travel around by foot or bike. Your suggestions from the #SafeStreetsSaveLives have been considered, and where possible implemented as part of the EAT measures. The EAT consultation page will constantly be updated as new schemes are implemented, so make sure you sign up to receive the news updates.
We look forward to hearing your feedback.
Thanks for all your comments on safe streets, we are now in the process of assessing these and drawing up a list of schemes for delivery from various funding pots. We have categorised your comments into short, medium and long term responses, including vegetation clearances, barrier removals, temporary cycle lanes, cycle lane segregation, cycle parking facilities and filtered neighbourhoods, to name a few. You can expect to see these improvements across the city over the coming weeks and months.
Once again, a massive thank you to you everyone that got involved as this would not have been possible without you. We hope that Salford will be an easier and safer place to walk and cycle thanks to your help.
